At Boogie Bear you can find pocket style diapers, hybrids, and of course AI2’s. Melissa began making cloth diapers as a way to use the highest quality materials in her own cloth diapering. Boogie Bear is the nickname given to her littlest by her other boys.
The AI2 she sent me has an adorable ladybug cotton outer, hidden PUL, and a super soft stay dry inner. The soaker is an extremely soft organic bamboo velour/zorb II combination and snaps right in.
These AI2’s are a one size so you can adjust the rise snap settings depending on your child. Here is the diaper on the smallest setting.
This is the diaper on it’s largest setting. My little bug will be able to wear this diaper for a long time, if needed.
There are 2 rows of snaps for a secure and adjustable fit.
2 snaps on the tabs. I like that they are a little closer to the edge than some other diapers. It’s just my personal preference to not have as much extra tab part hanging off.
Soaker snaps into the back. I like that the soaker just snaps in because it’s nice to be able to replace just the soaker when my little bug inevitable poops in the diaper right after getting it put on.
Inside of the back. You can see there is quite a bit of give on the elastic.
Seriously, this is extremely well made (and SOO soft!!) Boogie Bear Inserts are a snap in style soaker with 4 layers. Adding Zorb II to the insert allows a nice trim soaker and takes up moisture 20x faster than cotton, bamboo or hemp, and has a much greater holding capacity! 1 layer of Zorb II will replace 2 layers of most microfiber terry and up to 4 layers of cotton or bamboo French terry.
Top Layer is a soft & gentle layer against babies skin. This layer may vary and can be organic bamboo velour, cotton velour, or micro chamois. A layer of ZorbII and heavyweight organic bamboo fleece. Final layer of coordinating fabric to add “cuteness”!
Snaps right in. It looks like it will be too big but once the diaper is on, it’s really not. I even tried it on with the smaller setting and it still doesn’t seem too large.
Melissa even included a girly wipe. =) I have other cloth wipes and they seem to morph their shape after washing. This is a soft knit on one side with soft material on the other. And they still looked like wipes after washing! =)
I even found a small heart stitched onto the corner of the wipe as well as one on the soaker. I think it’s a cute, personal touch. =)
Nice fit around the waist and legs. Even after wearing the diaper for over an hour there were no red marks.
This super absorbent diaper also fits pretty trim. Most of the diapers we have are a bit fluffier and it was refreshing to have something with a nicer fit. On average, this particular diaper lasted over 3 hours before feeling wet at all. It was a great nap time diaper and even made it through the night on my heavy wetter!
Melissa also does custom orders or you can snag one the diapers currently in stock. Here are a few of my favorites that she has done. =)
This robot print is adorable and I am really getting into the side snap style lately.
I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved the Ooga prints too. My ladybug would look so cute in this one!!
