You know what I’ve always thought to be funny in a sad sort of way? I guess ironic is more the word for it but how is it that I, being a photographer myself, have barely any family photos to show for it? I have some good photos I’ve taken of the girls that are framed and I have some really adorable ones of Jake with either girl that I’ve taken but there aren’t any of me and the girls and even less of all of us. Finally, a month after Kaliah was born I arranged to have family photos taken of us by a friend who has her own photography business.
My dream is to get them all printed really large to take up this big open space in my dining room. The wall has a large built in buffet counter and the space above is just begging for some eye-catching interesting piece to go there. I got the opportunity to work with Easy Canvas Prints and they helped me realize a small part of this dream. 😉
I will say the ordering process was a snap. I just uploaded my photo and had a chance to reposition, edit and such (although I only cropped since the photo was already edited to my liking prior to being uploaded to the website). Since I chose to do a black and white photo I decided to add a pop of blue around the edges instead of stretching the photo. Once we paint our walls it will look *so* great! After ordering it took about a week to arrive and was actually double boxed for added protection. And shout out to Stephanie for being such awesome customer support!! She was super quick to respond with emails and was as sweet as can be.
Overall, the canvas makes a nice impression and addition to our new home and acts as a great space filler for that particular wall I was telling you about earlier. One step closer to my dream home. 😉 EEK!
