balboa baby in useWhen I took my recent trip to Missouri in July I knew that what I chose to actually take with us was very important. There was no way I could handle keeping my hands full with a toddler as well as getting our bags through the airport and then still having to deal with driving after landing.  One thing that made the cut list was the Balboa Baby Adjustable Sling.

I primarily used it for the hip carrying position since P Grizl was about 20 pounds, which is close to the 25 pound weight limit. I’m definitely going to be keeping it around for the next little one though because there are other carrying positions you can use and it’s even discreet to nurse in if you need to.

While we were in Missouri this really came in handy for when I went to garage sales with my mom and grandma–which is a tradition on the Saturday that we get together during the summer. It was easy for me to use as I would get my little girl out of her car seat, stand her on the floorboard and after putting the sling on myself, I would lift it up & over her head and somewhat adjust before she put all her weight in it. I was then able to stand up and adjust as needed. It worked great!

There is lots of padding on the shoulder strap and a heavy duty ring to help you adjust and get a great fit.

I also love that there’s a handy pocket for things like your phone. you can see it in the picture above where I’m wearing m daughter. What’s even cooler is that there’s two pockets so that no matter if you’re carrying across your left or right side, you’ve got access to one.

  1. I love that there is padding on the shoulder! It looks super easy to adjust too! My carrier was a sized one and I def wish that I was able to adjust it, esp as baby grew!

  2. Adjustable is brilliant! I had a sling but it was too small to fit anything other than a newborn, although it was supposed to hold up to 25 pounds (nonsense!).

  3. I need a sling for quick in and out for walking downstairs to the laundry or running short errands. It is time consuming to use my wrap for these things.
