Life feels a little crazy when I don’t have the outlets I normally have, such as keeping up with this blog. We were so busy this past weekend moving and then had to wait a couple days to get the internet transferred. It happened so fast, I mean, we weren’t even planning to move until the end of the month. We packed and moved everything in one day and cleaned the old place the next.
I’m so relieved that we are away from our neighbors now. We had so many problems with them that it’s hard for me to choose which disturbed me the most. They were stealing our power for a while by plugging their extension cords into our outdoor outlets. We had to call the police a few times because we could hear at least one of them beating up his girlfriend (who never left so you can’t feel too sorry for her anymore). They were also really loud, one hit our car the first week we lived there and never did anything about it, they are extreme alcoholics and in the first conversation one of them ever had with my hubby, he let him in on the fact that they were doing cocaine. SERIOUSLY?? Even after all that and contacting the rental company we were leasing from, we were told they were being evicted at the end of March and we couldn’t break our contact yet they were still happily living there when we were moving out. Really not okay when I have a little girl. Plus there was no yard or anywhere for her to play.
We found a house we were going to buy but ended up deciding to continue renting because we are really set on not buying in town. We ended up finding an amazing house that is so perfect for us. It’s HUGE first of all. On the main floor there is a very large living room and fireplace, large open kitchen and dining room, a mud room and laundry area, a master with bathroom suite, secondary extra large room that is way big enough for our whole office set up and ALL my crafting stuff and doesn’t even begin to look full. There’s also a smaller bedroom for Natalia, 2 coat closets, and another full bath. All the bedrooms have awesome built in drawers in the bottom of the closets and are really spacious.
There’s also a basement with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a large living room with fireplace, 2 bonus rooms and a super nice large room with built in shelving for food storage. We are lucky enough to only have one neighbor behind us and none on the sides. =) Along the length of the house in the back in an enclosed greenhouse area and outside we’ve got a HUGE garden area and nice paved space off the driveway for our motor home.
All in all, I’m pretty excited, can you tell? I’m so happy that neither of us are pack rats. We not only have a huge home now but it’s not cluttered with a bunch of junk. Be on the lookout in a week or so for some photos. =)
